  1. Tell me about an acting role that you've taken on and performed exceptionally well.
  2. Tell me about a time when you had a conflict between you and another cast member. What were the circumstances, what steps did you take and what was the resolution?
  3. Tell me about a time when you had a bad day before an evening performance. How did you manage the performance?
  4. What makes you a good scene partner? 
  5. What type of training have you completed that you feel will be an asset in this role?
  6. Tell me about a time when you received criticism that you felt was unfair. How did you deal with the criticism?
  7. Describe a professional performance you have seen recently and tell us what you liked about it.
  8. How active are you in the theatre community? Are you mainly working with other actors, or have you worked with other community groups? 
  9. What marketing strategies do you consider most effective in promoting a new theatre production? Can you give me an example of a time that you have utilized such a promotional strategy? What was the outcome?
  10. Tell me about a time when you had to defend drama/acting/or the performing arts to a person who felt that drama makes no impact on society/community/education.
  11. How can an actor contribute to building an audience or increasing fundraising and awareness?
  12. Describe a marketing strategy that failed and what you learned from it.
  13. What is your favourite play or who is your favourite playwright?
  14. What aspects of theatre are studied in schools? Is there anything you would add or remove from the current curriculum?
  15. What activities do you incorporate to promote creativity in the classroom? How do your students react to them?
  16. Why do you think drama is taught in the school system? Where do you believe it sits in the curriculum?
  17. Tell me about a method that you would use to encourage a child who does not want to perform? How would you assist the students in your class in overcoming stage fright?
  18. Tell me about a time when a colleague repeatedly ignored safety instructions. How did you deal with this situation?
  19. Our staff are accustomed to working under pressure with frequently changing priorities. Tell me about a time when you worked in a similar environment.
  20. Tell us about a time when you worked under pressure with very limited instructions: what were the circumstances and the outcome? Did this experience change how you worked with other performers/managers?
