You can also partner with a friend and they can ask you a sample question while you answer to practice interviewing.
- What are your career goals for the next five years? What have you done to accomplish them?
- How has your education prepared you for this position?
- What can you tell me about our organization?
- Do you have any experience with event management and planning? What types of events have you worked on? What was your role and level of responsibility?
- Tell us about the method you use to select a venue.
- What have you done that shows initiative and willingness to work hard?
- Tell us about a time when an event went over budget. What happened? How did you deal with it? What did you learn from the experience?
- Sometimes it is easy for us to "get in over our heads". Describe a situation where you had to request help or assistance on a project, assignment, etc.
- Can you give an example of an innovative marketing strategy you developed? What was the creative process behind it, and how did you implement it?
- How do you promote your events or releases? Tell us about your use of social media, campaign management software and email. How do you know what works in your promotions?
- Can you discuss a time when your analytical skills helped you make a data-driven decision in a marketing campaign? What tools did you use to interpret the data, and what was the result?
- How do you manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring attention to detail? Can you share a specific instance where you successfully juggled several projects?
- Tell us about the last time you had a really good idea and had to persuade someone else to accept it.
- Tell me about the toughest people you have had to get cooperation from. How did you go about getting co-operation?
- What software do you have experience with? How would you rate your proficiency? Do you have any samples?
- When was the last time you had to provide creative input or criticize a colleague’s work? How did it go? Did they use your advice?
- If I was to ask your current supervisor about your work ethic or reliability, what would they say?
- What motivates and challenges you? Tell me about the most difficult obstacle you had to overcome to achieve a goal or result.
- Can you describe your experience with working a flexible schedule and handling irregular hours? How do you manage your time and maintain productivity in such scenarios?
